YMCA Trick-or-Treat
I'm not sure who had more fun, Grace or her parents. This afternoon our YMCA hosted a trick-or-treat. Grace dressed up as a pumpkin fairy and could have won a prize for being one of the cutest toddlers. Tons of people had decorated their minivans, SUVs, and trucks, opened their tailgates and then handed out candy. The kids went from car to car trick-or-treating. Grace picked up on the trend very quickly. She had a bag full of candy by the time we left. They also had a haunted bus, but Grace wasn't too excited about that. She did love the bounce house and the tractor hay ride. We had beautiful weather and it was so fun watching all of the kids and seeing all of the costumes.
Grace's 'Big Girl' Room
Grace moved into her 'big girl' bed at the beginning of September and has been sleeping better than she has ever slept in her entire life. We are not sure if the crib was too small or the mattress was too hard, but what we thought may be a difficult transition, turned out to be fairly easy. She loves her new room and all of her new found freedom.
Isaac's Baby Shower
Sid's office threw us the most fabulous baby shower for Isaac yesterday. Sid's recruiter, Rupa (she is with us in the photo), planned and organized the entire event and we had a great time. We played some games, that ended up being highly competitive in a group of sales people no less. The food was delicious and they truly showered Isaac with gifts...and Grace received several gifts as well. Yesterday was also my 33rd birthday and the shower was such a special way to celebrate. It was fun to focus on the new baby and do something just for him.

October 19th, 2007
Just wanted to send out an update. I had my 36 week check up and all is well. Isaac is head down so we will just pray that he stays that way. I am feeling well and am still as active as my toddler forces me to be. :-) I go back in a week and a half for my next check up. Grace had a busy week at preschool and then today our playgroup went to this fabulous new kids museum here in Raleigh. It was unbelievable- the kids were in Heaven. We were supposed to go to the pumpkin farm, but got rained out. So we may do that next week. Sid finished his last triathlon of the season last Saturday. He did fabulously! He finished 2nd in his class and 17th overall. http://www.rmssports.com/results/07LRTRI.TXT
These pictures were taken at the pumpkin farm that Grace's preschool visited on Oct 4th. It was a warm day, but so much fun!
For our 10th anniversary trip Sid and I headed to Asheville and then on to Knoxville to watch the Vols solidly beat the living daylights out of the GA Bulldogs. It was a beautiful day!

Blog Introduction
Hello everyone, I have decided to start a blog as I think that things are going to get quite hectic once Isaac arrives. I know that my emails are going to become short and few and far between. Maybe this way I can keep everyone up to date on the latest happenings as well as photos. Which brings me to my next issue: photos. As far as I know, my mother is the only one who requires prints of photos- I think the rest of you are only viewers. That being said, I am just going to post photos to this site so you can see the family and all of the changes. I will still be using WalMart to print my photos (so don't worry mom, you will still get your prints) and if you would like to be on that distribution list, just let me know. For those of you unfamiliar with blogs, here's how it works. I will post comments and pictures and you go to http://www.graceandisaac.blogspot.com/ to see what's going on. You can check in anytime to see if there have been recent updates. I will not be sending you any notices that there have been new postings- you will just have to be proactive. I suggest that you add this site to your list of favorites aka "bookmarking" the site. If you don't know how to do this please contact my brother and after he makes fun of you he will explain what to do. Okay, I think that covers all of the housekeeping. Now onto the fun stuff! For my first official entry I will give you a briefing of Grace and Isaac. Grace had school today and absoutely loves it. She is a fairly bright student so far and loves to help clean-up. I have know idea where she acquired that trait. :-) She is speaking in full sentences and is not afraid to express her opinion- and that trait comes from both of her parents! Right now she is jumping around her playroom, making strange noises, and hiding her balls under her art easel. All in a days work, I guess. Isaac is doing great so far and so am I. Five more weeks to go! I am really feeling well and able to do most everything I was doing before. Of course I do tire easier and keeping up with a two year old all day doesn't help. Boy do I miss those days of sitting at a desk! Well, sadly I have about 500 pictures on my camera that I need to download onto my computer- however, I cannot do this while Grace is awake as she wants to sit on my lap and go through the pictures over and over. So I will post some pictures later tonight or tomorrow during nap. I guess you will just have to check back! Love, Tory |
