Hillridge Pumpkin Farm

We made our annual family trip to Hillridge Farms on Sunday. It was 75 degrees, sunny, and just gorgeous outside. The kids had an amazing time. The farm has been designed to wear out children- and mine were no exception. There was lots of whining on the way home. Grace took her traditional pony ride on Grace Stone.
And then we spent about 35-40 minutes on the tunnel slide. The farm was fairly empty when we arrived and the few people who were there were not on the slide. So we had it to ourselves for quite a while. Grace went down the slide approx 20 times. Which also means that she climbed the hill 20 times as well. :-)

Daddy and Isaac went down together several times.

Isaac, Grace, and Sid at the top of the slide.

And now big Isaac goes down by himself. At first he didn't want to ride down on the burlap sack- so Sid told him he couldn't go down the slide. He came crying down the hill for Mommy because "Daddy said no!" We eventually convinced him that the sack was necessary. But it is so funny that when one of us tells him 'no' he goes crying to the other parent. Learning early I guess.

Here he goes heading back up the hill with his sack in hand. He eventually talked his sister into carrying it up for him. Smart boy.

Here the kids are racing their ducks. They have little plastic floating ducks and they pump water to make them race through the pipes. Notice what Daddy is doing in the background.

Another shot of the duck races. Isaac was able to do everything by himself. Of course!

The farm has this wonderful hay jump. Just a big barn full of hay. Here Grace is helping Isaac onto one of the bigger bales. It was pretty funny to watch them figure this out.

Here we are on the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch.

The rule is that if you choose it, you have to carry it. Grace is trying another technique called "Daddy please carry my pumpkin." It worked.

Got to love the timers on cameras. We needed a family photo. Baby Leah is even in this one- behind Grace's head.
